Thanks for your appreciation!
im often heard saying this on TV
“Pakistani koi nahee cheez nahi bantay, ik dhung ki gari to apni bunaiee nahi abhi tak ! yahan tak k paper weights bhi China k hain! sub China hai- lagta hai Ali Zafar pay bhi kaheen likha hoga ‘made in China’ ”
I say this cause it affects me, i wonder why? why are we not innovators? whats holding back our creativity?
the answer i came up with – FEAR!
We are afraid!!!!
Darpoke!!!
Hum soochte hain yeh sub kaam hum KIASE karain ge!!!
Our first question is HOW?
I think our first question should be WHY NOT?
any thoughts on this….
love
azfar
It’s because our most basic needs are not met properly. If only these are addressed, then only do we have the knowledge what is our creative pursuit. To be creative and innovators, you need to have a filled tummy. You can never explore your truest basis if you’re hungry, have no shelter on your head and above all, have absolutely no self-respect due to above-mentioned factors.
Well…i dont think that Pakistanis don’t wanna do or not doing “innovations” – This is very false and injustice with those are trying to contribute anything at their level – Now the problem is, why they r nowhere … Simple! “Jo dikhta hai wohi bikta hai” – You’ll not see such ppl on news on papers blogs facebook internet – nowhere – Yes a small space is always there even for Sahir Lodhi aka Shahrukh Khan.pk
BUT this is not the only problem, our govt. is not serious at all to look at these issues as almost all such Pakistanis are Pakistanis and not a part of any package bundled & airlifted by our Mohtaram Janab Amrika Bahadur sahab..and above all we have much greater issues to talk abt – say like Sania Shoaib – Veena Asif & none other thn our beloved Suicide Bombers!!!
Laikin what else the media & politicians do – afterall yeh sub bhi tou issues he hein …. khair watevr – bus apnay hissay ka kaam kiye jao – dunya jaye tail laynay
OK, first of Azfar ,man ive been a fan since i dont remember now and its great to see your web page,.

hehe. lols but atleast he’s spreading the word, “pakistan”. better than us. or me..cares.
Secondly! Dear Jahangir Nazar, see your again thinking the way WE usually do, thats the whole point , you have to think outside this —Box!
Now, who are we talking of here? the one whose got no shelter and food whatsoever, or the one who watches TV ,knows whos “azfar” is and has the internet , and after alot of time “here and there” on the tube catches a website , takes a few minutes appreciating the biography, goes into the blogs and takes even more minutes to contradict something that deep inside he knows its true!
Hes talking bout you and me,… and to cut the loong story short,
where did ideas like “1 rupee for chhipa” go?(pretaning only to the excuse youve put).
plus, if were to make something, create something, have a proposition or anything that really may prove carries a lot simple potential , share it with us! no barrs hold!
.. the thing is , this is the fear we’r talking bout here, the putting up excuses for something that no ones asking you to do. but its an urge to explore and execute your potentials and hobbies for that matter.
- A candle ,made up of other candles wax flakes in a fancy wax cylinder with totally abstract punched out holes in it,. -
whose not gonna buy a candle in Pakistan!? .. .. n so on n so forth , these are the general items that we are quite capable of making … its just the matter of transferring the value your little project the big value it has in your brains.
and the chinese who made the paper weight could have not made it in a single day. but itss here now, in our homes. on our papers…
~~bohath demaag paka diya na!?. sowwy.
lemme just close it with
“Fear of failure must never be a reason not to try something.”
~Frederick Smith.
PS – Ali Zafar’s probably designed in china .
Hey Azfar!! yes you’re right, the first thing that comes in our mind in HOW?? may be because we don’t have a proper platform. If I talk about myself..I’d like to do a lot of things learn something new everyday but I’m looking for a good opportunity!
:D
I’m a part of GEO SP-1 working their as a trainee, I hope I will soon find what I’ve been looking for and you will definitely see with with something soon hopefully
Its because the Pakistant society goes against the idea of stepping outside our comfort zones. The young generation today is receiving great education but is also struggling to balance it with their home environment (middle class mostly) where people make their kids attain the best education but refuse to open their own minds and accept the new world. I wrote an article titled “The Box” on this topic. Let me share it with you:
The world was such a happy place, full of secrets when I was younger or, for that matter, when I started writing. I wrote about anything and everything I knew and felt- from my first crush to what I had for lunch to how hot it was that day. I used to wait impatiently to jot down about my day to my diary. It was my happy place for a very long time; the only place where I could say whatever I wanted to without fear of somebody questioning my thoughts, correcting them for me or, telling me to confine them to “The Box”.
I have decided to focus on the Box today. This Box is not dreary and plain like a cardboard box. It is vibrant, mobile and has been around for as long as civilization has been. In common terms, it is referred to as “social norms”, “societal values” or “traditions”. Depending on what continent God Decided for you to be born in, the Box welcomed you and ensured as best as possible that you never got out of it.
The Box presented us all with some tutorials as part of our upbringing e.g. the color pink is for girls, wrestling for boys, cooking and cleaning is a disgrace for men, disagreeing with one’s parents is wrong, marrying young is better for everyone, enduring injustice is women’s fate- they should just suck it up and deal with it, and, cheating should be forgiven and forgotten sometimes for “the children’s sake”, and sometimes for the woman’s own well-being.
Of course, not all of these tutorials were hard or debatable but since the Box exposed us to those previously living in it, they made sure our thoughts wouldn’t wander off, our clouds of dreams dare not escape the Box’s premises because God Knows, outside the Box lay possibilities! The horrid and unconventional possibilities of creativity, novelty and happiness from means OTHER than the Box established and conformed with.
Needless to mention, I always disliked the Box to begin with. Maybe because of the very education I received, authentic and Box-certified and for the most part stifling, or maybe because I was always too stubborn and cold-hearted to disregard what the Box taught me. I also hated to wear the official Box attire: fakeness. Wearing fake smiles around fake Box-ers was one thing that made me anti-Box at a very early age. Also, vibrance never caught my attention. It was always plain and simple things that I found comfort in and enjoyed, like an old, dusty, second-hand book or just plain old paper and pen.
Now here I am, 22 years old (yes, Box, I’m not ashamed to reveal my age, it only shows how long have I survived in you and I am proud of it!), yet still searching for the exit. I mean, there’s so much in the Box, it had to make its way in from somewhere and that has to be the very way OUT too.
My brain is the work of God, one of more than 6 billion that walk the Earth today, my hand has the power to write and my heart has so much to do when I neglect the Box and its faithful inhabitants.
Writing is one such thing and the day I forget to to write, I might as well declare myself a proud and happy “Box-er”.
Hira, I concur..thats exactly what it is..we have what we want even if its a cheap Chinese copy of an original..why make the effort to create a Pakistani version. And Jahangir, “necessity is the mother of invention” is a beaten to death saying but true. There is many an artist who has gone hungry for days, performed barefoot and all for the love of art. You give some one the bare essentials..the roti kapra makan..and thats it, you’ve murdered their drive to endeavor..with a full tummy, your back covered and a roof over your head..one becomes complacent or so it appears.
Meray Kheyal Mein yeh debate sirf woh log kar saktay hain jin ka pait bahra hua hota hay jinko zindagi mein koi problems nahin hoteen. Agar aap mujh say poochain tou Pakistan kay 16 crore awam woh hain jinko paida hotay he yeh fikar ho jati hay keh Unko 2 time ka khana milay gah ya nahin Parhna likhna tou door ki baat hay. Aisay mein woh keya innovations aur keya experiences karay gah zindagi kay har more peh aik nai problem usko welcome keh rahi hoti hay. Jis mulk ka nizam-e-tahleem he dohra ho wahan log keya innovations karain gay en kaamon kay leye time aur aik tension free mind ke zaroorat hoti hay but afsos kay saath mein es debate ko yahan khatam karoon gah keh jin logon kay pass yeh facilities hain bhe woh unko wrong side peh tou utilize kar laitay hain lakin woh yeh nahin sochtay key en resources ko kahin aisi jagah peh utilize keya jaye keh uss say 20 logon ko faida pohnchay. Agar 50 lac log including politicans, beaurocrates, industrialists aur bankers tax chori nah karain, corruption nah karain to pooray pakistan ke awam ke problems solve ho jayen ghee logon sochnay ka time milay gah dunya daikhnay ka moqah milay gah tab he yeh sab khuch mumkin ho sakay gah. Khushaal awam khushaal pakistan.Geo Pakistan.

Duniya k tamaam baray log ghurbat ka bachpan aur larakpan guzar k hee agay barhay thay. Example k tor par Quaid-e-Azam ko hee le lijiay. Insan agar halat sai tang aya wah ho tou usski motivation 100 fold buland bhee hosakti hai. Aur uss main aala taleem ya amarat ka koi haath nahin hota.
ok the basic problem of the nation is effort we dont work hard and feel as we had worked quiteeeeeeeee harder but the bottom line is we really lack confidence we first think if we fail neither that we will rule it i hope it could open eyes of some as this all opened my eyes
Bhaiee, the only problem is we just LOVE to talk with a cup of tea or coffee and the conversations ends with it! nobody is ready to work or move forward!
Every other person is waiting for a PARCHEE! koi haath pakar kar le jaye!! BAS!!
